OBD2 to USB Converters
Originally we designed these ELM based OBD2 converters for ourselves; we wanted the most flexible, easy to use,
and practical vehicle interface systems we could get without breaking the bank.
We love impressing people with OBD2 vehicle interface systems. But we
couldn't help noticing the looks and foot tapping as we setup the tangled maze of multiple
cables and dangling boxes. To make matters worse, our laptops don't have serial ports any more,
and an external USB converter joined the mess. These converters don't get in the way, use a
standard cable, and still have the cost and software advantages of ELM based converters.

Features:

The small converter plugs directly into
the vehicles OBD2 port, hidden and drawing so little power we seldom remove them from our
more permanent installations.
- The included standard USB A/B cable attaches easily to the front, and at 3 meters is long
enough to route gracefully into almost any corner of the vehicle.
- Link indicator lights for the vehicle and the USB connection make connection problems easy to spot.
- The embedded USB to serial converter appears to the PC as a serial comm port, making it
easy to use with other software written for ELM based converters.
- The USB device drivers included install smoothly for for Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, and XP, and
the comm port can be changed via Control Panel System settings
